The Durban International Marathon is proud to announce that the sixth edition of the race will be broadcast live on SABC.
As the Durban International Marathon prepares to take over the streets of Durban on Sunday, 3 May 2026, this renewed partnership marks the second year in a row that millions of fans across the country can witness world-class distance running in real-time on the SABC.
“Bringing the Durban International Marathon to the SABC platforms is a monumental step for the race.
This event has become the definitive gateway for athletes to reach global stardom, as seen with our previous champions who went on to the Paris Olympics. Now, every South African can share in that journey from the first stride to the finish line.”
Steve Mkasi, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee
